Welcome to ditaj, Deep in the Amazon Jungle. But go ahead and call it ditaj. In fact, call it Ditage, just to make it seem even more like a word. Why? Because you can.

Ditage is a bat roleplay, set deep in the Amazon jungle. Yeah. We decided to give the site the most creative name possible. Anyway, head on down to the information area to find details on plot, bats, joining and an FAQ.

Please feel free to join and start posting right away!

The walls of Camazotz's temple seemed to extend upward all the way to the stars. The stars, so rarely seen in this jungle, were what Govad was aiming for tonight.

The tiny vampire ahau leapt off the ground awkwardly, then began to pump his thin wings hard as possible. Vertical takeoffs were not his favorite, but in this case it was critical that he started as close to the building as he could. If he left the space between him and the wall any farther he might fall a wingbeat short of his mark, and that wouldn't do him any good, now would it?

Eighty-four wingbeats brought him to the first ledge. The bat clung to the wall and rested for a short time, then swooped out into the misty night air once more, begining yet another vertical climb. The space between ledges gradually decreased, and by the third ledge he didn't even need to land any more.

The top was in sight for the ahau. Maybe twenty wingbeats away. With a shrill cry of excitement, he scooped up two wingbeats of air at a time until he was well past the top of the temple.

The trees around Camazotz's temple weren't as tall as the rest of the Amazon's foliage. This was because they were new. When the temple was first built, the whole area had been cleared...This made a nice space in the jungle to star gaze.

After his landing, the bat shivered and looked up at the night sky as he collected his breath and energy. It was a lovely sight, and he made it his business to come see it every now and then. That whole big sky full of all those jewles, all for him. The new moon left ir dark enough for him to appreciate the beauty without having to squint.
